You may have heard about the recent Islamophobic comments made by state representative John Bennett at the Muslim Day event at the Capitol organized by CAIR OK. We are appalled by Mr. Bennett's question, and our response is to give back to our community, especially to the unfortunate women and children victimized by domestic violence. Our goal is to package at least 500 "Totes of Love" for the YWCA domestic violence shelter. We will gather at the AMA Event Center (on the grounds of The Grand Mosque, 3201 NW 48th Street) April 1st between 10 AM - 12 PM to package these totes. We welcome and encourage our non-Muslim family to join us so that we can send a message of unity to the Oklahoma community.
