Interfaith Day of Service - Catholic Charities Holy Family Home

IMPORTANT REPORT ABOUT "INTERFAITH DAY OF SERVICE":

On Saturday August 17

th, for the first time ever in the state of Oklahoma, about 60 people from 12 different faith groups were able to put aside their differences by joining forces in service to make the world a better place. We had a total of 5 Interfaith groups working on about 9 difference projects at Catholic Charities Holy Family Home to support them in their mission of helping homeless women and children get back on their feet. These groups did everything from replacing weeds growing in planters and flower beds with plants and flowering trees, to assembling a couple of picnic tables and everything in-between.

But most importantly, with this event, the barriers that have been constructed to keep different faith groups apart, started to come crashing down as people from the Moslem, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Hindu, Bahai, Jewish, and Urantia faiths got their hands dirty together!
